Frequently Asked Questions

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization consists of modifying and fine tuning your website to speak more efficiently to the primary search engines. This is done through intensive analysis of the site, keyword research, and development work.

Essentially, when a customer does a search in a Search Engine the Search Engine scours its database of web sites focusing on 3 "questions". Whichever web site is able to answer these questions the best gets to be ranked highest. Conversely, whichever site does the worst gets ranked lowest. If there are sites that don't answer these questions they are not ranked at all!

At KayMarketing we provide our clients with a web presence that answers these questions better than the others, placing them at the top of the big three Search Engines (Google, Yahoo, & MSN) as well as over 2000 more search engines throughout the Internet.

KayMarketing's Two Pronged Approach - Local + Organic

Local - On the three most popular Search Engines, the Local result page has anywhere from 3 (Yahoo) to 10 (Google) LOCAL listings. This is something of a "winner's showcase" of the LOCAL Section. Every business is listed here. It is the Search Engine's white page listings and is absolutely free to every small and large business. It is not ranked alphabetically, but rather by the 3 primary ranking questions referred to earlier. The web sites in this section are called Business Profiles. The profiles that answer the questions best get placed on the top spots of Google, Yahoo!, and MSN in this showcase section!

Organic - Each of the Search Engine result pages have 10 Organic or natural listings. These are not paid placed listings. They "naturally" find themselves listed based on answering the 3 primary ranking questions best to worst.
